Crisp fresh fish, good dark and fresh fries and mushy peas. Enough food to be satisfied but not so much you wish you had ordered something lighter. I personally am not much for mushy peas but then again it's Irish food so it's true to name.
My fiancé and I absolutely love this spot! Kevin is amazing (a real Irish lad who doesn't BS). We come here often, even in covid, because they have a lot of outdoor space set up and the food and drinks are great. My fave is the Fish & Chips with a side of curry sauce (a must!). You also can't beat their lunch special. We're pescatarian, so we go with the veggie hand pie, which last time was more of a mini skillet. The chips (fries) can't be beat. I haven't found many places with this style -- pretty sure double fried, haha. We highly recommend stopping in for a pint and some food!
Best fish and chips I've ever had. Large portion and the service was friendly helpful and just excellent. Also had the broccoli with garlic and almonds and that was also super delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I had the vegan version and it was splendid and so satisfying! I highly recommend it!
Yum! The combination of flavors and textures made this foray into a non-meat item a great dining experience! The french fries (chips) were crunchy and perfectly salted. Sitting outside on the sidewalk tables was great. The staff kept checking in on us. We will be back!
The best Fish & Chips I ever ate! Beer batter was tasty Fish was fresh and flakey. Delicious! I can't wait to eat again! Also ate the Buffalo Cauliflower Wow spicy greatness! AF is an awesome place to eat & drink Definitely coming back!
Auld Fella's fish and chips are the BEST in town! My roommate and I are constantly coming back because we crave them! Highly recommend!
If you like a little something crunchy and salty to eat with your beer, Auld Fella's onion rings are great, but try the sausage rolls. Shareable, but you might not want to share.
The Burger is perfectly cooked. The bun is soft, the caramelized onions sweet, then the Dubliner Cheese and whiskey aioli combine for a delicious meal bite after bite!
Typo corrections: I had a blast at the Auld Fella in Culver City this place is such a breath of fresh air they do so many things well even with the challenges of Covid-19. We enjoyed outdoor seating and felt very comfortable and safe social distancing was definitely in practice. It was the food, drinks and service that stood out the Guinness was creamy and delicious one of the best pints I've had in LA, the Beer-battered Fish & Chips, that came out piping hot, the Cod was flaky and not fishy at all, excellent. Splashed the crispy house cut fries with malt vinegar, I was a happy man! The staff was friendly and approachable everyone working seemed to like being there. Next time I visit the Auld Fella I'll try the Burger it looked so good as many people were enjoying it. Good Job, it is refreshing to see it done so well.
